In fact they have the only article that I have been able to find on the<a href="http://homecooking.about.com/od/foodhistory/a/baconhistory.htm"> history of bacon</a>... While this post won't answer how or when or where in history bacon came to be, I found this transcript from Alton Brown's show Good Eats on how to <a href="http://www.goodeatsfanpage.com/Season5/Bacon/BaconTranscript.htm">make your own bacon</a>. Now It's not as funny as watching the show but he does give some great information, a bit of history, and his straight forward instructions for making bacon.
